Some intriguing characters walked through the classroom door today. Ask your child who was in Room 104 today!
The Question of the Day was: Are you coming back later for Family Fine Arts Night? Morning work was a Shapes Subtraction paper. Later, the students continued working on their measuring skills.
The boys and girls added some new items to their egg-chick books and checked to see if they were missing anything. A few more finishing touches will be on the agenda for next week.
The emotions loved and unloved were the focus of our Inner Explorer practice today.
During reading, we read and shared wonderings about the story "Skunny-Wundy's Skipping Stone" in our new Junior Great Books. Ask your child what happened when the boy in the story went where his parents told him not to go!
Following P.E., we read a book about insects and then the students created models of the life cycle of a butterfly. Our painted lady butterflies are still in the chrysalis stage.
Tomorrow is Crazy Hair Day and Field Day. First graders have been assigned to wear the color yellow.
I hope to see many of you at Family Fine Arts Night! Food trucks should be here by 5:30 and the activities will begin at 6:00.
