The boys and girls enjoyed two sessions with our chicks today. One was a chick recess just for one and the other was a scientific endeavor. During the latter, the students completed an ethogram to record chick behavior. Ask your child about the chick he/she observed!
We also took another look at the butterfly larvae today. The boys and girls wrote their first notes about their arrival and what they did to move the caterpillars to their individual cups.
We spent a brief time on handwriting, caught up on Flat Stanley mail, read the Science Vocabulary Readers: From Egg to Chick, and enjoyed the book Butterfly Alphabet.
After music class, we got together with our fifth grade buddies. Ask your child about the book his/her buddy read to him/her.
We will plant flowers in the garden as well as say good-bye to the chicks tomorrow.
