NOTE: Bags of hundreds, tens, and ones manipulatives were sent home to help visualize the regrouping. I no longer use these items in class since most of the original ones pieces have been lost over time. You will have to cut out little squares to use as ones. Please save these items for the next math chapter. It will focus on subtraction and regrouping.

READING
Week 1:
- Read The Hundred Dresses. It would probably be best to reread the first two chapters together even though we read them in class.
- Parents, check for understanding, go over the vocabulary, and ask questions about the story. Please use the discussion guides and other teacher background information sent via email as a resource for this.
- Optional: complete The Hundred Dresses Quiz in writing.
- After reading, complete the Student Worksheet Packet. There are six activities:
- The House on Boggins Heights

- Who Might Do This?

- Creating a Fashion Show
- If You Were…
- Read Crow Boy. Compare/contrast this to The Hundred Dresses.
- Optional: do this in writing with a Venn or double bubble diagram.
SPELLING

- Study the Unit 23 homophones.
- Take the test on Friday, March 20.
- Week 2:
- Study the Unit words. This is a Review Unit.
- Take the test on Friday, March 27.

COMPUTER
- Anytime: Practice typing in preparation for the part of the timeline project that will be completed in school.
