The Question of the Day was: Do you think Fluffy will come out of her log today? Morning Work was creating a frame to welcome parents to Curriculum Night later in the evening.
After our morning meeting, the first graders worked on their spelling and writing skills. Identifying rhyming words and placing words in alphabetical order were some of the activities on the Unit 1 Spelling worksheet. Following a recess break, the boys and girls reflected on what they knew about Bell School and created posters about their school.
In the afternoon, the students enjoyed music class with Ms. Prescott. Following this, they applied their knowledge of tally marks to conduct a survey of classmates. They also answered questions about the data they collected. The final event of the day was a visit from the fifth grade buddies who helped trace the little buddies on big pieces of paper. When these paper people are finished next week, they will be put on display in the hallway outside 104.
Curriculum Night takes place tonight at 6:30. It will begin in the auditorium.
