Happy Friday! The Question of the Day was: Did you enjoy holding a chick? Morning Work was a math problem solving worksheet featuring bird facts.
Luke shared his Student of the Week board. We learned that he has been to Chinatown, one of his talents is swimming, and he is friends with everyone in the class.
We caught up on the Flat Stanley mail we have received so far, drew self-portraits for the end of the year t-shirts, took the End of the Year reading task, and read the book Clocks and More Clocks.
Later in the day, we read A Hen for Izzy Pipkin and began reading The Hoboken Chicken Emergency. We also watched a Magic School Bus video about eggs and chicks. Some of our chicks volunteered to show us the pin feathers that are beginning to grow on their wings. All the chicks are going home with eager chicksitters this weekend!
Civics and STEAM were the specials classes of the day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
